Cat Bath

It’s hot this summer. So my human comes up with the brilliant idea: the pet should get a bath. It’s been ages since my last bubble bath, and I’m not exactly known for just lying harmlessly on the clean sofa. Over time, a lot of stuff accumulates in my fur that doesn’t belong there.

However, I believe that cats are very clean animals. We spend the day pretty much napping and grooming. Apparently, that’s not enough, so bowls and soap were brought in. I already looked a bit skeptical, as you can see, but what can a poor cat do about it… I HATE BATHING!

Leo is lying outside on a table next to a bowl of water. The cat bath is being prepared.

At least I wasn’t scrubbed like crazy because of my age, but even though it was all done quite lovingly and carefully: Do you see how grumpy I look? If I could have done what I wanted, then… then… oh, never mind. In the meantime, I was plotting my revenge. After ten ideas (that I wouldn’t actually implement anyway), I drifted off into daydreaming about my hometown. A short vacation for the soul, so to speak.

Leo is lying in the wash basin covered in foam. He looks grumpy and wants to get out.

I have to admit, though: when I was carefully rinsed off and the water was clear again… I look at least 10 years younger! So nice and yellow and black… and the white was white again.

Leo is curled up in the bowl with clear water for rinsing.

Well, that passed too. At least I got to lie around lazily in the warmth and dry for the rest of the day. Do you see my white paws? And my ears? Sigh… as much as I’m complaining, I’m actually pretty satisfied now.

Leo is lying on a towel to dry, with all his legs and tail stretched out wide.

And still. I’ll come up with something. Something small and mean. Hehe.
