Bonjour mes amis

I’m Leo. A true-blue Frenchie from Avignon. My base camp and second home is Germany, and my heart beats for Africa (as a proper leopard should. Or cheetah… I don’t really fit into any category. I’m just a flexible feline).

My exact age is still being determined, but I’m roughly a ’86 model.

My favorite topic that I bug everyone about: Wildebeest! Fun to hunt and supposedly super tasty. But my humans never bring me any from the supermarket and have no pity for me poor little cat.

And yeah, I’ve got suction cups. I was often stuck to the window in my VW bus. Can’t miss a thing, you know. The suction power’s not so reliable anymore, and windows are hard. A cushion’s much comfier. You don’t get any younger…

Schnuffelwuff

Little dog. Not quite as old as me (around 15, so still a youngin’). Loves trees. Easy prey for a seasoned predator like me. Theoretically. I always get an eye-roll from him because of my wildebeest rants.

Robbi

Even older than me (so ancient). A seal girl with a baby in her zippered belly. I had my eye on her at first -> seal meat’s supposed to be delicious (yeaah, the predator in me comes out…).

Plus, there’s this little fluffy sheep in the household.

What can I say… I’m not exactly suitable as a predator. I always end up befriending my prey, and then we just mosey through life together or chill on the couch. In the winter, we like to hang by the fireplace too.

Besides: that’s what fridges are for. (You can conquer them much more easily with accomplices, by the way. And it’s way more fun together.)

Joki

“My” car. I was picked up in it ages ago, and I’m pretty much always around when it’s on the road. We’re basically merged together. This van alone could fill books with all the experiences you have with a classic car like this.

What’s up with the website name

At some point, a long time ago, we searched the depths of the internet out of curiosity and to find translations for “leopard” in other languages. Among other things, we found the word “Mabiti”, which was supposedly the translation for leopard in some African dialect. Unfortunately, we can’t find that anywhere else, so the information might have been wrong. Anyway, the word stuck in my mind, and I’ve now claimed it as my “official” name.
